Azub HardCore from South Korea
25 05 2009Well this AZUB HardCore built by our dealer from frame kit is really unique. Look at the blue chain! Carbon cranks, Magura Juicy disc brakes in white color, Cobalt wheels…ouhhh. This is really nice piece of recumbent world. We are very proud that all that hold AZUB frame and name.
Enjoy!

Azub Eco off-road test
25 05 2009We have received some very nice pictures from our friends who have tried the new Azub Eco recumbent off the roads. It was their first recumbent trip and it seems that they enjoyed it. It is impressive what they managed without previous recumbent experience.

Azub Apus from Austria
27 04 2009My name is Gerd Schieber and I come from Austria, the region of upper Austria. i just follow your appeal to send information and photos of azub-riders to you for your azubrecumbent’ blog and so here I am. I got to know about recumbent bikes just two years ago during my holidays in Croatia, where some dutch guys told me about these bikes. as i have always been a bike loving person, I got really interested in recumbents and I started to inform myself how to get a recumbent in Austria, which was a quite difficult mission! I just discovered three shops all over Austria where they know about recumbents, the nearest one in 65 km, in Salzburg. they were really nice and i could try an azub 5, the only recumbent they had. it was my first recumbent-ride in my life, after nearly a year of searching for this possibility. I fell in love with these bikes and I ordered an azub apus the same day. I got my apus in October 2008 and from that day on I can’t understand why so many people ride normal bikes, fighting voluntarly against the wind… for my two little boys, aged 3 an one and a half year, I had already organised a croozer-children-trailer and so we go for rides together very often. very often I rise attention when riding and I think I’m the only one in a hundred kilometres radius. I think that this bike is one of my best investments in quality of life!
and this is what i ride:
Azub Apus, main stream X.7
- sram X.7 derailleurs and shifting (really satisfied!)
- tektro V-brakes (they really do it!)
- novatec front and rear hub
- spinner grind suspension fork (not satisfied)
- Schwalbe Marathon racer tyres (best choice, I think)
- Ventisit seat pad (necessary indeed!)
- combo pedals
- cyclocomputer holder and frontlight holder (I really recommend both of them!!!), stand,

AZUB Bufo built from frame set
20 04 2009Long time I was looking for a bike for „all-day-use“ -and I found it, it’s the „Azub Bufo“.
I decided for an Azub because of the IPS, I can adjust the seat in very short time, so that my sons also can use the bike. The next point was the position of the gear and break-shifters. Azub is the only bike where the position is the same as on upright bikes. – And it looks very fine!
I purchased a frame kit directly at Azub (with carrier, stand and spinner grind fork) and equipped the bike with the Sram Dual Drive 3×8, Avid V-brakes, Schwalbe „Big Apple“ tires, Shimano hub-dynamo and B&M lights.
I tested the bike at a 3-day-trip through the „Taubertal“, two days in rain and only one day with sunshine. I’m very satisfied with the bike and think I will have many happy hours with it.

Miro Ozimy – homebuilder with AZUB Mini
2 04 2009Recumbents has been my hobby for more than 10 years. I found and article about Radius recumbent in one old magazine and it was the first impact to think about recumbents. Since that time I have built couple of different bikes, trikes and trailers of different concepts. Couple of years ago I found the brand of AZUB BIKE. Their bikes are exactly what is my prefered type of recumbent, sou I used some of their parts to build up some of my next bikes but it was still not good enough. At the end I ordered AZUB Mini in black color and Avid disc brakes. In that time my youngest son was born so I also purchuased AZUB Jerry children trailer.
To increase the safety I built also front light with 12 V and I used a halogen light in combination with LED. The batteries are attached from the bottom of the rear rack. I ride pretty often in light terrain with my son so I have wide tyres on my Mini there. For fast ride on asphalt, I used Maxxis Hookworm, but later I bought the Schwalbe Marathon Racer which are in standard offer of AZUB. The guys in AZUB simply know why they use them. They are perfect. I have had the chance to test quite some different models of recumbent bikes, but AZUB Mini is a favorite one for me.

Recumbent of our marketing manager
27 03 2009Honza Galla is our marketing manager and he also tests all our bikes during many weekend trips or even during some bigger journeys. His favourite bike is the AZUB Bufo right now, with SRAM shifters and derailleurs, MEKS front suspensioned fork and unders seat steering (USS). He prefers common V-brakes than the discs, mainly because he travels a lot with the bikes and the risk of bending the disc is pretty high. His pictures are mostly from his 2008 trip to Albania.

Marija´s Kozin expedition recumbent
26 03 2009Here are some pictures of Marija´s expedition AZUB 5. She traveled with this recumbent from Beijing to Slovenija alone and she covered around 17.000 km. The equipment of her bike was specialy chosen for such a long trip and surprisingly most of the parts has survived all the journey incl. chain, chain guides (tubes), pulley etc. Well, we recommend to change the chain guides after 7000 to 10.000 km, but as you can see they survive much longer. Not to speak about chain and casette…
AZUB 5
- SRAM X.7 derailleurs
- Shimano XT V-brakes
- Shimano Alivio cranks
- DT Onyx hubs
- Remerx Dragon rims
- Schwalbe Marathon XR rear tyre
- Schwalbe Marathon plus front tyre
- Crankbrothers pedals
- Ventisit seat pad
- Ortlieb watrproof panniers
